This week I attended my first in-person networking event for quite some time, and it reminded me of the importance of testimonials, connections and referrals. I’ve found several favourite websites on my travels, but these three in particular have made their mark on me, coming from strong women with clever ideas in mind, some of whom I’ve known for a while. This week, then, I’ve written formal testimonials for:

1) Good Wash Day – my all-time favourite hair towel. If I’ve not yet gone on and on at you about how much I love my friend Karen's ingenious invention (or chucked one at you via post or in person) then I can't think why, as most of my IRL besties will now have received one. You don’t need curly hair to use one of these gentle towels (and they’re not just for hair, @trinnywoodall used hers as a bodywrap the other day, #truestory). Not got yours yet? Here’s this week’s bundle, with some cute off-cut pouches purchased as travel bags – sustainable: tick. My hair says thank you.

2) XV Stripes, purveyor of our beautiful new table runner. Izzey is a favourite client who runs her company from the Isle of Wight and is a powerhouse of thought and action. I love our calls, they always leave me on the up. The inky blue cannot be replicated for photos but it sparkles. I bought this for our wedding anniversary (3/5/3) – we no longer attempt to buy things for each other, preferring to get home gifts that we can enjoy as a family. For 19 years the element is bronze, but the alternative is aquamarine – perfect.

3) Kitty Holmes, cushion legend and real-life bestie. See those little beauties tucked into my Murano glasses? They’re my super-soft napkins from KH HQ, online treasure chest for a range of stunning treats for your home. I'm proud to say our rooms are covered in KH cushions, my KH travel bag goes everywhere with me and, with its generous capacity, fits my entire bathroom. And these silky napkins are one of three different KH napkin styles that I have in my home. They’re almost as beautiful as her cats and kids.

I'm not fast at doling out my reviews, preferring to walk around in something before I shout about it. I think testimonials sound better when they're genuine. I have no affiliations here or reciprocal partnerships, just bags of thanks to these three entrepreneurs for making my home and my hair come alive.
